The second annual Pennsylvania March for Life will be held Monday, September 19, 2022, at the Pennsylvania State Capitol in Harrisburg. The schedule at present is for a rally at 11:00 AM, and a march around the PA State Capitol at 12:00 PM. This is also a great opportunity to meet with your elected representatives and Senators to advocate for pro-life legislation. Bishop Ronald Gainer will likely celebrate Mass earlier that morning. https://marchforlife.org/pennsylvania-march-for-life/
With the recent Dobbs v. Jackson Women’s Health Organization decision, overturning both Roe v. Wade and Planned Parenthood v. Casey, we have the opportunity to press for pro-life measures in Pennsylvania. Senate Bill 106 – a measure to place a state constitutional amendment on the ballot that would deny a “right” to an abortion, and prohibit its public funding – passed the 2021-2022 biennial session, and needs to pass again in the 2023-2024 biennial session, before being sent to the voters for ratification.
We are coordinating with both the Pennsylvania Catholic Conference and the PA Family Institute, a Christian organization that promotes pro-life and pro-family issues.
If you are attending, or just considering it, you can register with the PA March for Life website (https://p2a.co/SunEfnu) in order to get timely updates on the event.
An anonymous benefactor has offered a $1000 stipend for busses coming to the rally. The application is available by clicking here. Also, signs will be available upon request.
Members of the PA State Council participated in the PA MARCH FOR LIFE in Harrisburg on September 27,
