Long before Pittsburgh became ‘The City of Bridges,’ our city was known as an important hub because Three Rivers merged at one location - the Point. The rivers are an important part of the history of our city, and thus, they are an important part of the history of our Catholic faith in the city of Pittsburgh. That is why every year, we celebrate the arrival of the Catholic faith to Pittsburgh with the Three Rivers Mass. The Three Rivers Mass commemorates the First Mass celebrated in Pittsburgh by Fr. Denys Baron at Fort Duquesne in the Spring of 1754. We are excited to continue this tradition in what can be considered a spiritual hub of our city – St. Anthony’s Chapel on Troy Hill. The Chapel is home to the second largest collection of relics in the world! We are honored that this Year’s Three Rivers Mass will be celebrated at the Chapel by His Excellency Bishop Zubik. Please join us for this special Mass followed by a light brunch on Saturday, April 22, 2023, at 10:00 am. Please spread the word about The Rivers Mass, so that we can fill the beautiful chapel to honor our heritage and our Catholic Legacy. All are welcome, Knights, their families
and friends, to attend the Mass. Additional information will be forthcoming about the brunch.
